Commercial Construction
Full commercial builds, precast panels, tilt-up construction, and seismic strengthening across New Zealand and Australia.
NZ Construction Services delivers commercial construction projects across New Zealand and Australia, from warehouse and industrial builds through to retail, office, and mixed-use developments. Our teams handle the concrete and structural scope on commercial sites, working as a specialist subcontractor alongside main contractors or as a direct contractor on smaller commercial builds.
We are experienced in precast concrete panel erection and tilt-up construction, two of the most efficient methods for commercial and industrial buildings. Our crews handle panel casting, lifting, bracing, and grouting, working to the structural engineer's design and coordinating with crane operators, steel erectors, and other trades on site. We also carry out in-situ concrete work for commercial foundations, floor slabs, columns, and beams.
Seismic strengthening is an important part of our commercial work, particularly in New Zealand where building code requirements for earthquake resilience continue to tighten. We carry out structural strengthening works including new shear walls, foundation underpinning, and connection upgrades to bring existing buildings up to current code requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you work as a subcontractor or main contractor?
Both. On larger commercial projects, we typically work as a specialist concrete and structural subcontractor under a main contractor. On smaller commercial builds, we can act as the main contractor managing the full project scope. We are flexible and can structure our involvement to suit your project delivery model.
What is tilt-up construction?
Tilt-up construction involves casting concrete wall panels horizontally on the floor slab, then tilting them up into position using a crane once they have cured. It is a fast and cost-effective method for warehouses, factories, and other large-footprint commercial buildings. Our crews are experienced in all aspects of tilt-up including panel casting, lifting, bracing, and joint sealing.
Can you do seismic strengthening on occupied buildings?
Yes. We regularly carry out seismic strengthening works on buildings that remain occupied or operational during construction. We stage the work to minimise disruption and maintain safe access for building occupants. This includes working on heritage buildings, retail premises, and office buildings across New Zealand.
